Coordinator reports;

            Tech/Webmaster report: Ed Glynn.

                        Kathy Hale reports that Ed will be maintaining the web site since he is feeling                             well enough and is working from home. Thankfully Ed is doing very well with his                   chemotherapy program to continue his webmaster duties.  Ed and Kathy                                              expressed their appreciation for the good wishes and support they have received                                from the SeniorNet community during Ed’s recent illness.

Course Manuals: George Fuller

George reports that all manuals have been printed and delivered at a cost that was equal to or less than anticipated. Manuals are stored under lock and key to limit their disappearance.

Lab report: John Szedon

John reports he had a total of 28 attendees during the nine laboratory sessions held during the summer session.  His weekly average was 2.6 students/week vs 3.5 students per week in previous Lab sessions.

John expressly wanted to thank his perennial Lab coach, Bob Nelson and the other session coaches by name: Julia Fogel, Howard Goldmacher, Bob Homlar, Susan Humphreys, Anne Tilly and his very own self, John Szedon.

Staffing: John Rittenburg

John Rittenburg reports that he has identified at least three coaches for each class and four coaches for full classes, for the fall.  John senses that fewer volunteers appear willing to staff the coaching positions for all the courses.  He theorizes that burnout is the primary cause.  In the past many coaches would participate in two or three classes, currently the most all volunteers appear reluctant to commit to more than one course.

Volunteer issues: Tony Cobourn/Beth Korn

Tony reports an increase of four new volunteers placing the total number of active volunteers at sixty six (66).  Tony and his replacement, Beth Korn will brief the new volunteers at a Saturday, September 16th morning meeting.  The names of the new volunteers are; Mario Kosseifi,  Marlene Martin, Jayan Disah and Ashok Nagrani.

Disks and badges: Bob Nelson

Bob reports that there are sufficient disks and badges for all classes.

Room readiness: Open position

Roswell SeniorNet is currently looking for a replacement for the room readiness tasks

Publicity: Fred Wooten

Fred reports that Roswell SeniorNet course flyers were distributed throughout Roswell as well as many libraries throughout Roswell and Cobb County.  Fred was appreciative of the help he received from Kathy Glynn.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has been advertising the SeniorNet course offerings in their North Fulton Northside Calendar edition and will continue the placement up to the starting date of courses.

Course issues:

All course coordinators/Instructors appeared ready for courses to begin the week of September 18.
