            b. There is an ongoing need for both teachers and coaches. Active recruiting is urged on   the part             of all existing board and all SeniorNet members.

            c. The Fall and Winter course schedule has been submitted in Draft form. Issues revolving around             the Martin Luther King holiday and its impact on the schedule are being resolved before the schedule is         finalized.

5. Coordinator Reports:

            Curriculum coordinator: Julia Fogel

Julia requested that course instructors be reminded to have students fill out evaluation feedback forms       which are located at the back of the room. Non-standard evaluation forms are to be discontinued.     Forms, when completed by the students should be returned to the cabinet shelves reserved for the specific course            and will be picked up by Julia for compilation and summaries.

            a. George Fuller will be replacing Bert as Manual coordinator and is currently working with Bert to learn   the process. The status of the course Manuals is attached as Addendum C to this        report.

            a. A total of 28 students attended the Friday 1:00-4:00 computer labs. Lack of staffing precluded having a Saturday Lab session

            b. Summer Lab will again be on Friday’s from 1:00-4:00 pm and is currently staffed.

            Volunteer Coordinator: Tony Cobourn

            a. Four new volunteers have been recruited. Two will help Fred Wooten with the publicity activities          since Fred is now working full time. One will coach.

            b. We have a refreshed list of volunteers and we have 62 active members.

            Badges/Disks Coordinator: Bob Nelson

            a. Badges for all students in all the Summer courses have been made up as well as floppy             and CD’s          with course materials on them for all the Summer programs.

            Publicity Coordinator: Fred Wooten

            a. A status report is appended to these minutes as Addendum D along with results and required future       actions and open issues.

Other issues discussed:

Future course offerings and interface meetings with other local SeniorNet Centers.

A description of course offerings from the Marcus SeniorNet center was well drafted but there appeared to be a difference in course costs and in some cases durations. Course collaboration does not appear to be viable at this time but we should consider opening a dialog with their center coordinator to better understand their goals and structure and any areas of commonality.

Multiple offerings of high demand courses at Roswell SeniorNet:

A discussion of whether to offer day and evening sessions of Computer fundamentals seems to hinge on availability of instructors and coaches. No decisions were made at this executive session, however enrollment could be offered and the decision of whether to conduct dual sessions would be determined by enrollment.

The meeting was concluded at 8:45 pm

Respectfully Submitted by

Howard K Goldmacher, Secretary
